Welcome to Powhatan County Public Schools 2009 Engineering Camp! Students in grades 3 through 10 have the opportunity to attend Powhatan County Public School’s Engineering Summer Camp. The camp will introduce stGroupResizedToo.jpgudents to the concept of the engineering design cycle and will expose students to a wide variety of engineering careers. Camp for students completing grades 2 and 3 this spring will be held at Powhatan Elementary School. These students will be using an engineering approach to solve problems. Students completing grades 4, 5, 6, and 7 this spring will attend camp at Powhatan Junior High School. Students will participate in hands-on engineering activities and meet guest engineers. The 6th and 7th grade students will take a field trip to see engineering in action. Robots Rule! is a camp being held for students who complete grade 8 and 9 this spring. This camp will also meet at Powhatan Junior High School. Students will be building their own robots using kits provided by the school. They will also meet guest engineers and take a field trip.
